A Walk To Remember

After a hazing incident goes wrong, popular but rebellious Landon Carter (Shane West) is threatened with expulsion. His punishment is participation in various after-school activities, including the spring musical, where he meets religious Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), the only daughter of his mother's (Dary lHannah) church's pastor, Reverend Sullivan (Peter Coyete).

Landon has difficulty learning his lines, so he asks In the following days, Landon continues trying to approach Jamie, this time as a romantic interest, but she continues to reject him. The breaking point finally comes when a few of Landon's friends play a malicious joke on Jamie, and Landon comes to her aid, renouncing his friends in the process.

Jamie finally accepts his advances as sincere and agrees to a date, with her father's grudging permission. The two begin to fall in love, as Landon helps her accomplish things on her wish list. Jamie's faith in him has Landon believing in his ability to be a better person: he now wants to go to college and enter medical school where he once merely wanted to flee his small town life.

However, in face of the depth of their relationship, Jamie reveals to Landon the secret behind her father's protectiveness: she has leukemia. Later Jamie withdraws while Landon despairs, even driving for hours to ask his rich, estranged cardiologist father to help Jamie. After Landon comes to terms with the reality of Jamie's condition and in the face of his insistence in being with her, the pair make up. Meanwhile, Landon continues to fulfill the wishes on Jamie's list. Jamie is released from the hospital, revealing that Landon's father has paid for her to continue receiving private health care at home.

During a stargazing session, Landon proposes to her, unwilling to let her time run out before her number one wish is fulfilled. They marry in the church she had dreamed of, with all their friends in attendance and her father officiating the service. The two of them live a short, happy life together until Jamie dies at the end of the summer.

Four years later, Landon is visiting Jamie's father. Reverend Sullivan tells Landon that he and Landon's mother are proud of him entering medical school, and that he is sure that Jamie would have been proud of him too. Landon apologizes to Reverend Sullivan - Jamie never got to witness her miracle, but Reverend Sullivan assures him that she did witness her miracle; it was Landon himself. The movie ends with Landon walking on the docks, and saying that Jamie saved his life and that their love is like the wind; he can't see it, but he can feel it...

Reflection:

I really love this movie. I love Mandy Moore and Shane West, they are the best. This movie made me cry because I am very touched and I am imagining that that I am in the shoes of Jaime. I really love the story because a bad boy turns into a good boy because of her love for the simple girl. She change Landon because also he is willing to change just for her. That's what we call true love..:)
Even though the ending is not as happy as what the other movie had, but we can really realize many things and we  can learn many good lessons..

One night, after a violent storm, Hailey wishes for a miracle that will make her mother change her mind about moving, and so they find a mermaid named Aquamarine (Sara Paxton) in the swimming pool of their beach club. The girls are frightened at first, but then curious. They start to talk with Aquamarine and promise her they will be back in the morning.

Both Claire and Hailey quickly rush down to save Aquamarine but when they reach the pool, everything has been cleared.

They hear noises by the nearby beach's snack shack and find Aquamarine, naked. The only difference is that she has legs instead of a mermaid's tail. Claire and Hailey become friends with Aquamarine, who tells them that she came to land to find love, an idea she knows nothing about, but desires desperately.

She tells them that she made a deal with her father that if she can prove love is not a myth, she will not have to undergo an arranged marriage to a spoiled merman  but she only has three days to do it. She notices a handsome lifeguard named Raymond (Jake McDorman) whom Claire and Hailey have admired for a while - and enlists the help of the two girls to win his heart in return for granting their wish. The girls see their opportunity to keep Hailey from moving and quickly work on prepping Aquamarine on the how to attract a man. These self-educated relationship experts, having gained all their knowledge from reading magazines every day and often quote them, soon realize it's a lot easier said than done.

Eventually, it is not Raymond that convinces Aquamarine that humans can love, but Claire and Hailey, who are willing to give up their wish and their lives in the aiding of a friend. Raymond and Aquamarine share a kiss and promise to meet up again in the future, Raymond promises he'll wait for her. Hailey and Claire get their wish from Aquamarine, but decide not to use it until later. Aquamarine gives both Hailey and Claire a starfish earring, which tell Hailey she is beautiful inside and out, and Claire is courageous and has a true heart. Aquamarine says that they can always call her on her shell phone.

Reaction:

I really love this movie because since I was a kid, I want to be a beautiful mermaid. To live under the water, to swim always, to talk to the fish, to discover all living creature under the water, to have a mermaid friends and to have a colorful tail. But unluckyly I don't know how to swim but I am interested to know how, I just don't have a time to practice. I learned also that having true bestfriend in your life makes your life easier because in times of ups and downs they will be in your side in order to help and assist you. I also love it because it"s a love story and I believed in fairy tales, in happily ever after.. :)

Reflection:
One time, I want to hang-out with my best friends but my dad doesn't want me to go out for his own reasons. I hate him for that because he doesn't want me to be happy and get free that's why I went in my room and get frustrated. After a while, he knocks at my door and told me that he want to watch a movie with me. Even though i still hate him, I still watched the movie.  The movie entitled "Taken", I have no idea about what kind of movie it is. After watching the film, I get the objective of my dad why he want me to saw the film. He just want me to realize that he doesn't want me to go out for the reason that he want me to avoid accident that may happen to me while I am out of our house and for me to be safe inside in our little home. When it come's to me, I can really feel that my dad is so strict because I'm his only daughter and the eldest among the three of us. Because of that film, I can now appreciate and understand the love of a father to his siblings.. :)

Reaction:
I really love watching movies for the fact that it is our favorite past time with my family. Wild child is one of the movies that I love to watch over and over again because the story really happens in the real world, bad girl turn out into a good girl. Also I learned many lessons and appreciate more for the things that I have, like having a loving and extraordinary parents that will always there in our side to guide and to keep an eye on us while we are growing. They are also very supportive to the good things that we are doing in our journey. I also realized in the movie that it is very possible to change a person if the person has willingness and motivated enough to change her bad personality.
